When the air is calm and the palo verde trees start to lose their blossoms, they can form a shadow of yellow below the trees. This vision, coupled with the fabulous light and contrasts of the rough concrete and smooth tree trunk was magical. $900

Looking north from the entrance to the museum are a series of palo verde trees in river rock basins. The light hitting the trees, rocks and pavement was beautiful. The contrast of the smooth rocks and tree with the rough pavement was part of what made this image intriguing. $540

There is a stairwell in the Phoenix Art Museum in which there is an inverted glass box window looking out onto a small courtyard and a block wall. The contrasts of the otherworldly glow from the window, the glossy floor and the matte black wall caught my eye. The painting is a result of this segment of wonderful architectural space. SOLD
