I’m excited to be showing my new Askew series of abstract paintings in two shows:
10″x10″ Invitational at Tohono Chul Park Gallery in Tucson
Organically Askew, 2-person exhibition with Autumn Rose, Chandler Center for the Arts Gallery, Chandler, Arizona
These abstract paintings are inspired by architectural details reduced down to essential shapes from which I emphasize ambiguous perspective, pattern and simultaneous contrast in colors. In this series I explore the relationship between abstraction and representation, creating tensions between the pictorial and actual space. I manipulate the colors until they spark off each other and become luminous. To take a peek at some of the paintings go to the gallery tab above, click and scroll down to the Askew gallery.
A painting from my Painting Water series has also been accepted in an exhibition:
The Art of Water, Phoenix Airport Museum
